If you're interested in hiring me to produce a personal piece of art for you, please look over this page to review your options, my do's and don'ts, plus any other relevant details.
Before ordering, PLEASE carefully review the terms and conditions. They are in place to protect you and to protect me. These terms apply only to personal commissions, and are not applicable to professional or commercial requests. That being said, let's get cracking!

Just a quick note: I'm treating Sal and Colm as one character in the examples below. I never draw one without the other, so I crop them as if they're one character. This is (admittedly) atypical. But you can't blame me for keeping the branding consistent!

A portrait/bust commission crops the character around the neck/shoulder area depending on the individual character.
In a full-body commission, the entire character from head to toe is visible in the composition.

There are a number of ways to finish a drawing. Here are a few options to get your creative juices flowing! These aren't strict categories per se. If you want to mix and match elements (like if you want a rendered image but with bold linework, for example), I can accommodate your request.

A commission finished in pencils will be mostly cleaned-up and fairly polished, but there still may be some traces of guides and searching lines in the final piece. I'll also add some shading to give the piece some extra pizazz!

This is my go-to method for finishing a drawing. The finished image will feature bold linework, vivid colors, plus a shadow and a highlight pass to give the subject some volume and dimension.

This is the most time-consuming and labor-intensive method for finishing a drawing. It's more akin to painting than traditional cartooning (which typically uses traditional linework and flat colors). There's absolutely no linework in this kind of piece. The subject almost has a 3D quality, like it can step right out of the screen!

I can draw in a variety of styles ranging from the extremely cartoony to something more realistic. My style tends to fall somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. If you want me to ape a particular style, make sure you specify what you're after and provide some examples.

The above example is kind of Looney Tunes-inspired. That being said, I can replicate a number of popular cartoon styles (like Hanna Barbera, Disney, Ghibli, etc.)

My preferred style blends cartoony proportions with realistic anatomy. It's akin to classic Disney animation except I tend to use bolder linework to really make the image pop!

If you want your subject depicted with as little exaggeration as possible, this is probably what you're after. The above example blends a realistic style with a cell-shaded finish.

If you don't just want your subject against a blank, boring background, be sure to specify how you want the background to look. Do you want creatures or additional characters in the background? Also, be sure to note any graphical elements like decorative borders, logos, text, or icons you'd like included.

Graphic elements include things like decorative borders, logos, typeface, and icons. If these kinds of elements are native to the background your character is inhabiting, that will be included with the background price. (For example: if your commissioned artwork is staged in a diner, the overhead menu is included at no extra cost)

Want a whole cast of characters in your commissioned artwork? No problem. The cost of the additional characters will depend on the complexity of their designs.
